I didn't enter this challenge, but I thank you for remembering that there is a world beyond the USA, too, and that not everything is the same all over that world. |

Here in Newfoundland we have a lot of British influence (we weren't a part of Canada until 1949) and I often call vacations holidays.
What do you call Christmas, Valentine's Day, Easter, etc? I call those holidays. |

I learned a long ago from some Aussie guy (and you know who that would be Lydia :-D ) that holiday = vacation to many people so just about anything goes! |
