Seems the whole country is cheering for them except a little holler in Alabama... :D |

If you think Newton can be stopped by some Foul waterfowl, you must be one of them Crazy Ducks. :D

War Eagle! The Ducks will see that Auburn is more than just Cam Newton.
Watching their Daffy Duck mascots on TV right now.
Go Tigers!

Right now I'm thinking TCU is better than both of these teams.

I'm in Alabama rooting for The Mighty Fighting Ducks myself. My undergrad school, they seldom won anything when I was there. So far, its a great game!
GO DUCKS!
[ETA] That is one very well lit stadium, I don't see any shadows.

What is it with that field? I've never seen so much slipping by both teams on a dry field. |

Looks like the Ducks got shot down today. Defensive struggle, but in the end it was a successful Duck hunt. |

I gotta agree. The field was really bad. Not sure what was up there. Both teams slipping all over the place.
Sigh. I grew up on Seattle sports, so really I can never imagine that my team is ever going to win the "big game". It continues... |

It was a great hard fought game. You could definitely see why the Ducks were there. |

I watched the 1st half. To me, Oregon looked liked the better, cleaner team (that personal foul by Auburn was absofreakinlutely uncalled for) and in the first quarter, Auburn could not go anywhere that Oregon wasn't covering. The adapted readily though and the second quarter was a bit different.
I've only seen one other Auburn game and that was the Auburn/Alabama game where Alabama took a huge (relatively speaking) lead and looked like they were going to win it. Auburn just seems to have the ability to pull it together and do what needs to be done at the very end and that lifted them to victory yesterday.
The ducks looked "well-polished" even with their duct (duck?) tape grey and neon yellow. I heard the home uniforms (had they been home) were almost all that yellow. Guess we can be thankful for small miracles? :P |

aw, that sucked :(
i was too bummed to watch the presentations, but if they didn't give auburn freshman Demetruce McNeal the player of the game trophy, he got robbed. if it wasn't for his tackle, the outcome probably would have been different...
and i'll say i was a bit disappointed in auburn's "sportsmanship"...it won't be too soon for #90 to move on.

I agree that Auburn's #90 has questionable sportsmanship at times (he terms it aggressive playing) and I too was disappointed in him several time this season (and last night), but I don't think it is fair to label the entire team as unsportsmanlike.
Oregon had their share of "aggressive" playing. They seemed to like to grab opponents jersys and sling them down at the sidelines when they had the chance. But such is the game of football.
And both teams were hampered by the sorry condition of the field. I have never seen so much slipping on dry grass.
