Council of Europe Officially Promotes Ethnic Slurs, Discriminating Against Macedonian Identity

Europe should be ashamed and stop promoting human rights to others before clean up its own house!

Likewise for the Americans who are holding prisoners that have not yet been awarded the opportunity to confront their accusers in a court at law.

It would be true if the accused were held on civil charges, but to their dismay, they are accused of higher crimes...acts of war. Therefor they are prisoners of war and not subject to civil law!

Not obviously. Accusations require a person. What person will testify to these horrific charges that justify the treatment of these people?

And Americans have already said they are not POW's.

No matter what charge, human rights are still to be respected.

Maybe we should just let them all go then.

Some have been released without charges. Whomever accused them, seems like the greater danger.

Back to your post...

Sorry, but I don't get it. What is the slur?

What you originally stated was a slur??? If you're making ethnic slurs, you might want to stop. And why are you hijacking Costa's thread with this irrelevant self-loathing? ;)

I have no idea what point your making, and much less a desire to communicate with a self-appointed forum policeman. Last time I checked everyone was welcome to post and reply to threads.

I guess the point I was making was: 1)I have no idea what point you're making, and 2)what in the world does it have to do with Macedonia or ethnic slurs?

And, sure you can post anything you want, and I can ask anything I want. I didn't ban you from the thread (as if I had the power), just asked why you felt it relevant to post that comment in this thread, especially since there's lots of other threads burning right now where it might be relevant. (I assume since you had no answer, it wasn't relevant.) I can ask a question, can't I? Or are you the self-appointed undercover forum police?

I am sorry if you cannot take the time to read. The message that you commented upon was a reply to a question from John.

If you are so worried about human rights, why are you ranting about the 10,000,000 starved a year in N Korea, those in jail or mutilated for their religious beliefs throughout the middle east, active slavery in the middle east and africa, the opprosion of the Lebanesse at the hands of the Syrians?

Such hypocrits.

Brian, I think all of us are concerned about human rights everywhere.

I think by current standards this thread should be moved to the Rants Section, so I will ....

I've read it several times now. Still doesn't make much sense.

Asked: So what are you really implying?
Answered: As was what I originally stated.

Doesn't really grammatically flow.

But again, not much to do with Macedonia...

I think I can see your confusion now.

Start with the opening thread by Kosta

"Europe should be ashamed and stop promoting human rights to others before clean up its own house!"

Add my response

"Likewise for the Americans who are holding prisoners that have not yet been awarded the opportunity to confront their accusers in a court at law."

Add a few comments til you get to John's question, to which I reiterate my first response.

I really don't understand your issue here Scott. Kosta's comment after the url prompted my dialogue. Being he is the author and he made the comment, I feel perfectly comfortable responding to it.
