Since we are on the last day of November, why not post your 5 favourites (your own or from others). I'll do it later from home.

Almost out of pixels here. It's been a fun month. Thanks for suggesting it, Colette!
I will look at images later today and try to complete the impossible task of selecting
just five of the beautiful compositions that have appeared in this thread during the
month of November.

To make it a bit easier, pick 5 of your own and 5 from other people. I'm going to find it hard to pick just 5 and I have a few of my own that are in my favourite list.

And all the rest of them ... honestly picking five is ridiculous. |

Oh, and 5 of mine ...
If you want to make it Flip and Blend Forever it could go on for whoever, whenever, like some other ongoing side challenges (black and white comes to mind).

It has been long and intense, those are my five :
In case you wonder if I can count, yes, I can !
I do it in a creative way, in the same spirit of this challenge.
Please just remember that 2+2 = 4 only in base 10. |

I'll have to do mine tonight.
GeneralE: please rename the thread to 'Flip and Blend - Nov2010 and Beyond'
Then we can add to the wonderful creations and make it even harder to pick just a few favourites.

Impossible task since there are so many images in this thread I love. Here are a few that stand out for me ... today. Tomorrow or yesterday, it would probably be a different set.

How could I possibly choose, have favorites? I could more easily single out maybe a quarter of these efforts as "not particularly interesting to me", but that would still leave what, 300 offerings that I think are really, really cool, and I don't want to choose between them. So, well done to everyone!
What I can do is choose one of my own that makes me really, really happy:

I'll start with my favourites from my own creations from the past month as that's the easiest. They're all in one place. :oD
I created a folder for favourites so others on my list can be seen here.

Some of my favourites from the rest in this thread:
Just to list a few. As Robert has stated, it might be easier to pick the few out that aren't to my taste than the many (most) that are.

Seeing Colette post this one by Jomari up reminded me...
...how that image got me thinking asymmetrically about the whole thing. Launched me in a new direction. I really love that one :-) ACORN BOY!

Okay, just to start off December on the right foot, so to speak, here's a new example--and no, it isn't a venus fly trap:

Applied several polar coordinates filters in a row. Not only does that change the warp of the image, it removes the tell tale signs of the filter (zoom lines in the corners).

A couple of sets from two days ago ... otherwise "meaningless" shots taken to see what would happen with this treatment. I'm just barely starting to be able to predict the general trend of what might happen ...Source image: Varitations:

This started as an egret sitting on a pole on a bland background.
Usual flip n blend, then one dose of polar coordinates.
I was happy with my little Viking until after doing a few
rotations, this little Science Experiment showed up.

An utterly unpredictable transition, for me at least. Original in notes:
