That letter could be used as a template after every election. The voter behavior is as predictable as the rising sun. Obama failed to quickly restore things back to where it was prior to Bush dropping a WMD on the economy and so the most angry among us turned on him and caught up in the wake, the moderates where you always find them.
The real failure here is not with the voter but with Obama. He simply isn't a salesman. He failed to sell his successes, which already dwarfs Bush's tenfold. Now his opponents are great salesman. They sold us a box of shit. We believed in the lies about death panels, phony birth certificates, etc and in the coming week's we'll be duped again into believing that earmark cuts can actually make a difference in reducing the deficit. The irony in all of this is we finally live in an era where we have access to the facts yet we are too lazy to lift up a finger and look. |
Hard to lift a finger when you have to watch the next installment of "So You Think You Can Dance." The media have done the job of distracting us :)

What is the difference then? There's a difference in which pocket the money goes, I suppose. The "differences" between the parties are a show to distract the people from the fact that the Dems and the Reps are all on the corporate leash. That's who holds the real power in this country, corporations, because they have the money.
But if it makes you feel better to believe that you're really making a difference by voting, or that somehow your piddly contribution to the candidate of your choice really means anything to them compared to the millions they get from a corporation, go ahead. If it were down to a choice between you and the wishes of the corporation who are they going to pick? I'll give you a hint; you'll lose every time. |

I fail to see how voting or not voting will make me bitch any more or less on MY score. unless if i give everyone a really low vote so i can get closer to winning...which i'm not going to do.
