| Now really. Did we expect miracles in this challenge? I think not. There are a few really good images and then there are the rest. I fall into the latter category. |

My entry is okay, I think. And this morning I was okay with the score - nothing fabulous but certainly better than my average. No, I'm not asking for miracles, but what a difference a day makes.
Tonight is a totally different story and I don't get it. |

Another harsh light sample from today's "park" session ;) my first close up to a dragon with my 40D and 85mm.
nothing like  Roz's work, but it's a start :)

just started voting. i haven't seen all entries yet, im just at 21%. But i already gave a couple of 9s and some 8s. There were some great shots that i gave not very high scores because i think they played safe. I mean, if take a photo of a building during midday, then that's a safe take on the challenge. But if i take a photo of a person, with the building serving as background during midday, then that's where the real take on the challenge begins. How do i ensure a balanced exposure on the subject's face and the objects around him, on a harsh midday sun? I saw some entries that took the challenge that way, and i gave them more credit. But sometimes the images looked so good that i did not care, i just gave an 8 or a 9, and some 3-5.
Just sharing how i felt during voting on this challenge. |

Mine is pretty steady, it actually went up a bit I think. No comments yet, that sucks. I rather get bad comments then none. At least I'd know what people think of it. ugh. |

I think the content of my photo is nice but after looking at my basic editing i feel like I might have overdone it. Im REALLY new to photography and photo editing, so any (constructive) feedback would be appreciated.
My current avg. vote is a 4.7 ish....

++ There were some really good shots in this challenge, and there were some blah ones. It just goes to show that you don't need magic hour light to make a great picture.

nah, but was doing OK back then.. still, dropped off a bit since then.. Hoping for a top ten finish maybe? |
