I am looking to remote fire my flash. Pocket Wizards seem to be what I see many people using. Can anyone recommend a good piece of hardware. In my Nikon days (A year ago) I bought a cheap one on ebay and it just didn't work.

Cybersyncs and Radiopoppers are two other reputable options.

If you want to stay cheap and don't care about TTL, the Yongnou RF-602 is very popular with the Strobist group on Flickr. I bought a set recently and it seems quite reliable so far.

I've bought the Seculine TwinLink.

It can triger studio strobes and and hotshoe mont flashes also.

It's not cheap but it's very reliable. It has less range that the pocket wizards (only abut 250 meters), but it's more than the majority of people will need.

With that massive chunk of Canon hardware on your arm, I'd recommend the Canon ST-E2 Speedlite Transmitter
//www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/164264-REG/Canon_2478A002.html

Allows all the functions of the Speedlites to be used, individual settings and great control (if your better than I with a flash and can make use of them!)
The battery is not rechargeable, but mine is still working about 3 years now. Anytime I have needed it, it have proved effective. The unit works, and works great.

Pocket wizzards are very reliable.

I use the 16-channel Cactus (Ebay/Gadget Infinity) triggers, but I'm cheap and seem to have an uncanny ability to make cheap stuff work.

One has even been submerged in salt water (along with a flash that didn't survive) and continues to work flawlessly after two years.

PW's TT1 & TT5's work great on both the strobes & 580EX flashes.
