| I actually beat my avg for a nanosecond! But then another 5 came in and I'm down to 5.3028 @ 109 votes. :-( |

Could be my fault. When I participate in the vote, I try to use my own image's score as a guideline, otherwise I often have no feel for how to rate some of the images. Many are clearly better than mine and I vote those quite well.

Could be me? It seemed like about half of the images were a bit washed out, even tho the top few blocks in the grayscale bar look black on my screen. Even tho some seemed a bit overbright, I still liked many of them, so still voted nice compositions reasonably well (higher than my own image, for sure). :) |

Awhile back I started trying to "give as good as I get" sort of a "pay-it-forward" theory...it's worked well for me... |

Yeah, I didn't really want to give any low scores, and only started out giving out the highest scores to what I thought were the best images. But, I needed to vote on at least 20% for the votes to count, so I made a few more passes and ended up scoring them all. I kind of voted on a curve, dividing up the images into groups that seem about similar quality+topicality, and moving them around some, but still ended up giving the whole set an average of 5.9271.
My main goal was to start posting comments. I know that's really what I want more than any score, so I figure I should do my part and not just sit and observe without participating.

I want to know why too, all the comments were positive. I'm guessing it's too messy or the subject matter is just too blah. |

| Has been an up and down week on this challenge. A last minute vote of "1" knocked me into a 4th place finish (my highest). Had fun tho. |
