So, for all of you who may remember Sporkfish (actually a jeweled cichlid)

She grew up

And now is caring for a large group of young, one of whom I wanted to share with you, as it's a quite interesting tailless genetic defect.

And before you feel sorry for it too much, it's quite healthy and active, and has no problem competing for food or space.

Uh...yeah... of course... who could forget Sporkfish? ;-)

I predict the tailless fish will grow up to be a motivational speaker. :-)

it's clear you photoshopped the tail out of the shot, i'm going to need some validation on this entry.

but i do find it interesting that the one without the tail is doing just fine.

Apparently, they can even survive quite well in the wild.

While I was in the Navy, I got my ass chewed off many times and I was still able to function just fine.

And let's not forget about Bear's dog.

Congrats to the new family.

I wish something would happen to my tail... a bit off the sides and rear, please.
