Where did everybody go??? I miss the conversations we all shared not to mention the support we were for each other.

Well just in case others are looking in from time to time, I have some wonderful news. My wife, Janet-Lynne (as some of might remember from an earlier post) is doing a couch to five k

running programme and when she started it she couldn't even run 30 seconds without being winded. Well now she is running a solid 35 minutes without being winded. She is my champion and

I'm so proud of her for achieving her goal. Now she wants to start building up to running faster over the same distance. Did I mention I was proud of here???

All the best to everyone who is still out there and to those of you who have fallen by the wayside.

MAX!

There's an outside? wow...

I sent my camera off to canon again, yesterday -- so I'm spending even more time in front of the computer! :(

1 part sour (fresh lime juice)
2 parts sweet (sugar)
3 parts strong (rum)
4 parts weak (water and/or ice)
Finish it off with a sprinkle of fresh ground nutmeg.

Easy to remember and easier to drink ... not so easy to get off the floor.

Time flies when you're having rum!

Hi everyone. Man, I can't believe how long it's been since I entered something.

Since many of you seem to appreciate my ongoing series of shots and explanations of Judaism, I thought I'd share my FS entry, where I explain a lot about becoming a Bat Mitzvah (thanks, Deb and Michelle for the comments before I managed to put in the story!).

I went through all of your portfolio entries that relate to your faith. Couldn't stop reading. I was mesmerized. Very interesting stuff. I'm sure that you're very proud of your daughter.

Thanks for saying so! Makes all the work worth it. :)

Good to see you back, Jeffrey! Very touching series of images of the Bat Mitzvah.

As for TS, not too much has changed here. Been quiet recently, though.

Hi Susan. :) Thanks for your kind words.

I wish I could say I was back, but ... weeeeellll ... we'll see. I do have vacation coming up, so maybe I'll get something.

YAY Susan! More importantly, aren't you selling via stock? That's better than a 5.0 average! I never did get anything through on Alamy. Maybe I should try again one of these days.

Hey Deb! Long time no see! Well I do have plenty of hits on my images on Alamy, but no sales yet. Pretty much par for the course, it takes awhile. And there's no reason you wouldn't be able to get in there, Deb. Just keep in mind that technical perfection is Alamy's big bugaboo.

Yeah, and even with my "you have a very nice camera", I just can't quite seem to achieve technical perfection. I think it's operator error... :-)

Congrats! I've finally (after all these years) achieved that milestone as well. Whether mine will stay there is another story. LOL!

Hey everyone, I finally managed to weasel out of some extra responsibility, freeing up some time so I can work on the results script again. Maybe I'll dig out the camera too..

It will be wonderful to have you back. Hope all is well with your family.

MAX!

Has anyone joined Team Suck in the last several months? I have my script doing what I want, and will soon start posting results starting from the first challenge I missed. Rather than post all of them at once, I was thinking of posting one or two a day until I get "caught up". And I might even enter a challenge this week!

I don't think so. It's been really, really quiet. It will be great to see results again. I hope you do get to enter.

I didn't see that those results were part of my last post. Here's a Free Study from April.

Your posts are marvelous and a lot of fun to look at. But it's really good to have you back! Don't wear yourself out trying to catch up on our account! Enter some challenges and have some fun! Then worry about what you want to do with a backlog. :)

Whoa. What a trip. My son entered into the "all-star" baseball season one month ago tonight. Tonight they played in the state championship -- 5 months of baseball came to an end tonight (finally).

Lots of baseball pictures.

Lots.

This one, however, tells the end of the story --

Congrats to your son! How exciting. At what age do they go national?

I believe they can go national at age 12. For us, this is as far as we can go. And, I think I'm glad. We are absolutely exhausted!

Karma, huge congrats to your son and his teammates. What an accomplishment! And kudos to all of you parents, you must be so proud and, as you said, exhausted! Good work everyone!

Karma, congrats to your son! And good on you to deal with driving all over the state for those games. I did that one year for my daughter when she was 10/11 & it was exhausting! He'll remember it forever.

We were VERY fortunate this year. Our district tournament was about 30 minutes away, and then they got the bid to host the state, so we were at the same field the whole time.

Several of the teams we played, though, were 5 or 6 hours (or more) away.

That is fortunate! Of course in NJ nothing is ever more than a couple/few hours away, but still added up to a lot of driving every weekend.
