keep in mind image and canvas size are not the size.

I think you grossly underestimate the cultural and psychological sensibilities of hair stylists (and barbers) ....

If intended ironically, I'd say 'If only you knew auntie Peggy', if not I'd refer to paragraph 4 of my post. ;-)

There's nothing absurd about attempts at objectivity. While many may vote as if in a popularity contest, others may prefer to examine and study a picture. - zeuszen

Whether or not you enjoy examining things with a detached eye, Nobody should be forced to see things under the same light. To each their own is the point of my post - I am not trying to begrudge anyone the objective slant, but what tickles you may not be another's fancy.

I don't say this just to scratch against the grain - I have no intention of offending anyone.. I simply believe that people can vote however they want- and whether or not they're being reasonable is naught but opinion.

Some people appreciate academic art- It's what they're used to. Aesthetic appeal is more or less a learned thing. Myself, I sometimes resent the "rules" in art and photography. I concede that an off-center subject is infinitely more striking (usually) than something centered: but with most rules (if not all) there are exceptions.

I guess I wouldn't completely disregard objectivity - But I urge you to keep plenty of room for personal preference.
