I think it's like a 6 hour trip. |

I may be able to make it, I don't know the drive's pretty far ;)
Will have to see what's going on as it gets closer :) |

Yeah, Brandy, every year we worry about you making that super-long trip to the park. :) |

We could take up a fund to help you pay for gas...

We are now moved up to the very probable list. We are still not sure if we will be bringing the dog or not...
As things get closer, we will decide what to bring for the picnic based on what is needed. |

Dogs are allowed. I am sure there are leash rules. I always see them there. |

According to Mapquest that's only about 3 hours and 10 minutes from my home in NYC. Hmmmm. |

Even less if you speed!

I'll join the group again this year. It's a great hike along the creek and there are some excellent photo ops along the way besides the many waterfalls. I'll bring enough hot dogs and rolls to keep Jeb busy at the grill. |

Oh, I don't cook! I just bring the grille and let whomever do their thing! If I wanted to cook, I'd just stay home and live live as usual, waiting on my wife and daughter.

Interesting take on things. I couldn't stand to see someone cooking on MY grill. I'll be happy to turn dogs or flip burgers for ya. :D |

Oh, there's no proprietary thing with me on the grille.......I know who wears the pants in my house......Lisa!
Keep your hands off my stove & dishwasher, though!

Ok I'm happy to see there are some boundaries set in your home. And no, I don't want to go there ;) |

I booked a hotel tonight. Move us to 95% likely to attend.
What do you need us to bring for the picnic?

Unfortunately I can't make this again this year as my vintage base ball team is playing that day. Was really looking forward to meeting everyone and seeing the Glen. Maybe next time. |

Just wanted to stop in and wish all a good GTG.
I was up in your neck of the woods a couple of weeks ago, but didn't really have any extra time for visiting.
I grew up in Schuylkill county, but was in the Parkesburg/Coatsville/Gap/Amish country area.
I know you're gonna' be in some beautiful country there. |

Just doing a quick bump-er-oo since we're just over a week away! I'm hoping that some of you guys that are on the fence will decide to make the trip... it would be great to see SJCarter again, for example! Glad to hear that bassbone is up to 95% -- I'd enjoy meeting you! C'mon down!
And of course if we can talk bs-photos into making the 1/10th of a mile journey, I hope she'll make an appearance too :)
If you haven't already mentioned what you'd like to bring for the picnic, please speak up and I'll try to do a better job of updating the original post with those details. If someone wants to step up to bring some burgers, that would be helpful... and any number of side dishes and desserts would be more than welcome :) |

Last week the chances of me making it fell to the high 80s, but now we are back in the upper 90s, around 96 or 97%.
I will bring what I am told to bring. It would be difficult for me to be inventive and think of something on my own. |

Just to make sure I understand--we meet, we hike, and then we picnic, right? So whatever food we're bringing is going to be in our packs while we walk, yes?
(Seems like an important detail when deciding what foodstuffs to bring.)

Nah, we're too lazy for that. Cars with the food stay at the bottom of the park with the picnic tables, then we carpool up to the top and hike down to the picnic. Easy (when it's not 100 degrees). |

Aha, all right.
I'll bring a big thing o' hummus and pita chips. |

Still not 100% positive I'll make it, but I thought I'd pass along the 7-day forecast, it's gonna be a hot one! //www.wnep.com/weather/7dayforecast/
So remember your bathing suits!! You made want to take a dip by the time you get to bottom :) |
