I haven't competed lately (no time to spare), so I mostly lurk. There is a trend I've never understood in the "Current Challenge" forums.

I do enjoy the wit used to create the thread titles with the challenge name, but otherwise, what's the point? |

I actually enjoy the score posting thread. It makes you feel that you're not alone. Not alone if you're getting a low score, not singled out if you received a 1 (usually the trolls spread the joy.) You're riding the ups and downs with others. I celebrate with others when they have an excellent score and are getting a personal best. It's the camaraderie.

it's a challenge site, with the main focus being entering, voting, and receiving votes. it makes all the sense in the world that a main forum would be the sharing of scores.
what would everyone have to complain about if not their scores? :D |

| Besides the scores, frequently there are side discussions in the "score" threads that get pretty interesting (both to read and to take part). Sometimes they present an opportunity to explain to new participants how the challenges work (usually without complete consensus). |
