Hi, lets say that I wanted to stick 3 shots together into one big image, like this, I hope you (colorosilence ) dont mind that I used this shot as an example. BTW, i think its a great image. Anyways, how do you make sure all the images are perfectly lined up and spaced apart? The software I am using is Photoshop 7.

I do this so that it is 'correct by construction'

I put in the first image, with no border, then resize the canvas, aligned to the left enough for the border and the next image.
I drop in the middle image and align it to the right and then do the same process again.

After that I'll resize for the 'border'

You can also use the alignment and distribution options in photoshop to space it automatically but it is easy to just build it up with 4 canvas resizes and alignments.

First of all, I would ensure that all images are the same size.

Then I would do a File, New... and create a new image that would fit all three photos with the desired space.

Then I would paste each image as a new layer.

Then I would go to View, Show, Grid and line them up accordingly.

is there any way you can adjust the grid, (show the lines closer or further apart from each other?)

Edit > Preferences > Guides, Grids & Slices

Incidentally, I would probably do this using several guides. I'd just do the math and figure out how big the canvas needed to be for the 3 images plus the necessary border. Then I'd just drag my guides out and position my images.

You might also want to consider not so perfect placement ideas
