Quick question -- For basic editing are the multiply and screen layers illegal?

| Yes. Under the basic editing rules, ALL layer effects are illegal. The ONLY type of layer that may be used are adjustment layers (that is, brightness/contrast, levels, etc.) So any type of layer with image data on it is strictly against the rules. |

Is using Neat Image out as well?

The question relates to blending modes, which can be equally applied to normal layers as well as adjustment layers.
Edit: never mind, I read the rules - only the normal blending mode is allowed.
How about interior and master opacity adjustment ?
