I want to sell my Canon A40 and get a 5MP cam.
I've been checking some out- these are my choices:-
1.Canon PowerShot G5
2.Sony DSC-F717
3.Olympus C-5060 or C-5050
I dont know which to choose- I've been reading about readers opinions on Dpreview.com
But still not sure.
I really need advice from you guys - and also if your'll know any more 5MP cams - would love to hear about them.
Thanx in advance.

Of those you've listed I'd choose the Oly C-5060, but it really depends on what type of photography you do. |

You which one I would use!
I read some customer comments on the c5050 before I bought it. They were pretty good. Plus it got good reviews in fotog magazine reviews.
Hope you got the PM I sent you earlier.
Good luck with making a choice!

If you're interested my F717, leather case, two batteries and 256mb memory stick pro are available on eBay at
F717 and accessories
It's a great camera, my reserve is $850 Canadian so you'll be ready to go with the entire kit, underbudget. It's in new condition as I bought my 10D soon after I bought it.

My dad has the 5050 and he really likes it. He also just bought the 4mp 720 that has 10x optical zoom and he LOVES it.. it has become his primary camera.

I really like my V1. Doesn't seem like a very popular model by the number of owner here. Nobody in the forum talk about that model but I just don't understand why. The feature/specification/performance package is comparable to both the Canon G5 and the sony 717, It's also the smallest and the cheapest of all these models. If I had to choose again today, and couldn't afford the DSC-F828, I'd still buy the V1 again.
