Congratulations Mike, 51 is a great age to be a grandfather, your daughter is 3 years older than mine so that would have made me 47.

Thanks everybody. I plan to start taking photos now of my daughter so we can see her going from a size 8 upto a size 14!!
Looking forward to entering a baby shot in all the challenges after the birth which is around End October/Early November.
Now all I need to do is get a cat and the ribbons will start...

Mike - the happy grandpappy

:-)

You might want to omit the "size 14" bit when you tell her why you want to take her pic ;-)

Comgratulations! I'm sure you'll enjoy them as much as I enjoy mine. As a matter of fact, I just happen to have a photo!

Congratulations!!! 51 is a great age to become a grandfather - I'm your age, and hoping to become a grandmother some day also, but so far my children are not cooperating :) Congratulations also to your daughter and her hushand.

Congratulations, Mike. Seems like you two will have a great hobby you can share as he/she grows up (plus you'll have tons of photos to share with other grandparents).

Congratulations on your new photo subject Mike! I know if it weren't for my kids, I'd have never talked the Mrs. into a digital camera in the first place. Now 13,000+ pics later, I have a cool hobby. Maybe a new lens or two in your future? ;-)

Thanks again - Shannon I love the ''little stinker'' photo - what a cutie!!
Funny you should mention a new lens but I am waiting for a 28-80 usm to be delivered..now all I need is to save up for one of those Canon L lens...

Ribbons pale into insignificance with this news Mike (unless it`s a grandaughter) :)

I`ve just poured out a wee "Glenlivet" and am toasting your family`s good health.
Best Wishes,
Gordon
