What type of shot do you guys plan on taking?
I want to try out something new to me like a long exposure of some sort, as I just bought a 300D Rebel. |

I love a free study. I don't 'plan' to take any particular shot. I do intend to submit the best photo that I take during the month for the challenge :)

In your case, creativity seems to flow naturally. In my case, I honestly need to plan :)
Good luck... |

The free study challenges are my favorite to vote on. In the past, I have seen a higher percentage of good photos in those challenges. Its inspiring :)

The reason I like the free study is because it simply removes the challenge topic from the voting. I, as a viewer, get to evaluate the photo for what I see instead of what I'm supposed to see.

After the December free study, I've decided not to let the wife help me pick out a shot this time around. I can't wait till March 31st to see what my best shot is! And everyone elses of course! |

Hey Councilers, will the voting period for this free study challenge be 2 weeks like it was for the December free study or are you dropping it back to one week? I personally found the 2 week voting period a bit too long, my score didn't change much at all over the second week. |

Two weeks! There is no possible way that I can handle the anxiety of refreshing my score, on a single photo, for two weeks!

This will be my first Free Study challenge. I already have a plethora of possible pictures and I am wondering how I should choose. My "best" shot is a stereotypical shot for the most part, its a sunset w/ a little added something. I have other shots that might not be my best, but are definitely not the ordinary architecture-sunset-bird-flower shot, what do you guys and gals suggest? |
