I've not paid much attention to these forums but I participate in a lot of challenges and I vote on 100% of all challenges where I have an entry. So, having just noticed these posts where a small percentage of participants are voting, I am a bit stunned. It's as if many posters are saying, give me your vote but I'm not going to bother giving mine to you. Some even leave comments like "no vote". I don't get it and I guess I shouldn't care either but the lack of voting seems a bit one sided and self-centered. But it's a free country and the first amendment guarantees the right of free expression including selfishess.
My personal results are like others posting to this thread. I voted on 100% and I received only 110 votes. I won't bore you with the details. |

| 5.62 with 107 votes....Was down to 5.27 at one point. I feel this is a 6 photo. I guess 5.6 means more 6 than 5 votes so I guess I have to be satisfied. |

Some members don't feel they can vote without bias in a challenge they are entered in, so they have a personal policy of only voting on the others. Me, I enjoy seeing how others have approached it, and I am interested enough in the subject to have entered it. Once in a great while, if I feel I cannot vote fairly, then I refrain from voting. If you see a "not voting" comment from me, it is because I gave pre-challenge feedback to the person, so I skip the vote on those out of fairness. |

I also vote on the entries in the challenges that I enter. However, I do not have years of experience and therefore I do not vote on entries that I do not understand or just don't care for. I would not want to lower someones score just because I don't like their entry. This isn't to say that I don't vote less than perfect entries (to put it nicely) but if I would give less than 4, I probably won't vote on it. |

Well, this looks like a clear new second best for me. While I'm a little disappointed that I didn't manage to hold onto the 6+ score I had at the end of the first full day of voting, this will still represent my highest ever free study score and help to fill in the huge gap between my one "lucky" ribbon winner and the rest of my usual mediocre stuff. ;-)

I haven't finished sub-5 for three years and eleven months....will the streak hold? I thought for sure I was doomed a few days ago when it was under 4.6

| I gotta question....after voting started I posted the orginial of my free study in my workshop and added it to optional information about the photo....when I look at it; it doesn't show. Will it show when voting has ended? |

No, as far as the website is concerned, they are different photos and are not linked together. You will have to edit the details of the challenge entry after voting ends. |

You can actually change the details now -- just go to your portfolio, and the image should show up there (though we can't see it there until voting is over.) If you click on the image, it will bring you to the box where you can edit your details. It will be in your portfolio, not the one in your workshop.

I've already edited that section but the photo doesn't show....the number of the photo is there but the thumbnail isn't showing. I'll work with it a bit more to see if I can make it work. |
