Okay, Richard....Ursula rescued you and you are off the hook now!

Pfftt. What does she know about turds. :P

Believe me, tons! Especially the kind that comes from deer. I've gotten my nose into them more than once chasing wildflowers. Not a pretty thing, I tell ya.

I noticed recently that I don't get email notifications from 1x as in the past. My preferences are set to receive the emails. Did something change?

Yeah, they don't send them anymore. I hadn't realized that either.

Can't show the image yet because it's also in the FS, where it's getting just as hammered :-)

Nice shot and congrats. The toning makes it...not the usual color palette PS usually renders. Better than your DPC version, as well imo.

Look at Krzysztof Browko's toning. Worlds and worlds apart from the sameness we see everyday. With everybody using the exact same programs not much new or interesting is being generated...in terms of color. I mean HDR is pretty hokey but seems to be the number one way to "polish a turd", nowadays as they say. That phrase cracks me up but it's so true and there are a few other "go to" methods everybody and his brother have tapped into to make straightforward images appear more interesting. Turd a la mode. BUT I digress...

Toning...toning...toning...

eta: Here's one you'll like...
eta: If someone taps this and links it on Digg or Stumbleupon you'll get like 30k views or much more.

Yah, link; your name is not in your DPC profile, you are not in 1x under your DPC name, how do I find you?

Awesome, Papa Bob! And nice to know you're Bob Cross :) Welcome to the club -- only -- you can't be a full fledged member until you start getting rejects like the rest of us :)

This was in screening for almost three days. They raised my hopes and then squashed them back down :)

Thanks Sandy. I saw them as they all were walking across the roof. So we all went out to look and the mom retreated. We do believe now that she was in the process of knocking them off the roof when we interrupted. (This is what we got from a wildlife officer). I'm glad that I did not see her do that. We watched as 4 fell off (and one hit a rock on the way down) and that was just awful to see. The day after this happened, the family that owns the house said that the nest was empty. So she must have finished the deed. I just hope they all made it somewhere safe!
