Data recovery software roundup from Maximum PC Magazine. (Most of them are freeware) A selection of software that can recover files from hard drives and memory cards. Not *exactly* imaging software, but the need comes up regularly enough in the forums, that I thought it deserved a link here.

The following freeware items can be found toward the bottom of the web page that is linked, below all the trial downloads for the pay versions. (All 4 links go to the same web page). You will have to provide name and e-mail to obtain the actual download links. (Note: The installers check for the presence of Photoshop CS2 or higher, and will abort if not found, so they will not work with Corel PSP or other apps that are usually compatible with PS plugins)

Extraordinary product. The Dynamic Range Brush is astonishing; it basically lets you brush in local areas of HDR. Wildly useful. Many other settings are very good. Golden Hour Enhancer, Chrome Color, several others. I'm liking this a lot.
