Uncle! I give in. Everyone can take the best Cat/Squirrel/Bird photographs.

I have to admit, I'm guilty of clicking on the threads and peaking, but it's like channel surfing. You've gotta see what's out there. I was actually impressed at the Squirrel shots, but the cats..........

I'm offering up a thread with the "potential" for no cats/squirrels/birds. Anyone else game? Have anything interesting?

At the risk of getting flamed....no flowers either. And if you find yourself asking, "well what else is there?" post your cat pictures

Here

Since yours is kind of a landscape, I figured I'd add a few of my own:

Black Bear Ranch - Superior, MT

Clark Fork River - Superior, MT

//images.dpchallenge.com/images_portfolio/7106/thumb/37037.jpg

And I figured I'd go with the sunset; that wasn't in your rant topic .. haha

Henry - What the scattered boxes for in your "Winter Blues" photo? They look like mailboxes, but I don't see any driveways or homes.

Moodville - Excellent - as usual.

Thanks for posting folks. This is a nice change of scenery.

casualguy's shot reminded me of this one I took last November.

Lol. There has to be more pics of sky with a plane's wing here than cat and squirrel pics. Not kidding.

I've noticed quite a few too and it boggles me. Is that type of photo really considered special or interesting? I can see the cat thing, you can put a cat in different situations, add props, etc but the wing shots are all pretty much the same. I just don't get it.

Do you really think so Jacko? Seems to me that there are several cat photos in almost every challenge. Sure the wing photo is kind of cliche, but, IMHO, only about one tenth so as cats and other pets. Some people don't fly very often, or not at all. The view from an airplane's window is unusual and interesting to them. Cats are so common that no one would have any trouble finding one when they wanted to photograph them, but the airplane shot is a little tougher to get. You gotta get your digicam thru security to begin with, LOL.

It's a perspective we don't get to see too often. For example, I'd never seen lightning from above before.

And then sometimes it's all an illusion ...

By the way guys, if you look real close at pitsaman's photo, you can see a cat. It's hard to see, but it is there.

did this topic start out in rant ?

Funny to see this thread start up again. What's really funny is that I have broken down and I am becoming one with the DPC crowd. After seeing Setzler's backyard setup backyard feeders

I went to Walmart and bought some bird seed. I figure there has to be something about shooting birds & squirrels that I just don't know about and am missing! I'll put out my first seed tommorrow and see what happens.

I won't post here though.
