| Does everyone know somebody that is coming, or has met them? I don't know. I might end up being one of those third wheels as everybody buddies up. I am feeling extreme paranoia right now. I have never met anyone before. |

Yeah you have......we're the crazies you hang out with here. Every single GTG I've been to has been like a family gathering.....you get a chance to catch up with all the weird relatives that you only see every couple years or so. They're a blast!

Yeah you have......we're the crazies you hang out with here. Every single GTG I've been to has been like a family gathering.....you get a chance to catch up with all the weird relatives that you only see every couple years or so. They're a blast!

I agree with Jeb here. I've only actually made it to one gtg and it was a blast. I actually ended up part of the day with someone who wasn't even in our group (but didn't know that)! ROFL! Half of what I said to him probably didn't make sense to him but he was a really good sport about it. |

Thanks for the reassurances. I know your faces from your portfolios and hope I can pick out who is who. I guess I should update my pic as well. Hope to be visiting all your pages to reacqaint myself with all of you, since I have sort of been out of the loop for awhile. My scores definitely show that I have been out of the loop. Okay I read through 5 pages of messages. Saw that the days are June 4, 5, 6...and the main day is June 5th, but I didn't see where everyone is meeting. So....where is the meeting spot?
Also what locations are on the agenda?

For asking too many questions...lol.
I have 3 walk-arounds, in mind. Not sure which one we'll do on Saturday...probably Union Square into The Village. Otherwise there's City Hall/Brooklyn Bridge-->DUMBO or Central Park or Chinatown etc. Whatever's target rich for Street Photography/People, we'll go with that.

I would love to do some night time shooting and show some of you around. There is a great place on the brooklyn side of the brooklyn bridge to do some shooting where you can get some beautiful skyline photos. Well let me know and I would volunteer to show some of you around for some nite-time shooting

Night shooting is a particular passion of mine so I am going out whether I have a guide or not. I'd love to hang with anyone familiar who is volunteering to guide. I might even pay cash.....8>)

I did list City Hall/Brooklyn Bridge ---> DUMBO as part of the plan. Maybe not that Saturday night because there are many people visiting that day, to consider. So, please don't convolute things and break up the group. One thing to consider is not taking people to a spot where they will get only one shot. Make certain whatever you do is target rich. Brooklyn Bridge/DUMBO has hundreds and hundreds of photographic possibilities...day, evening and night...bridges, water, cityscapes, architecture, Street etc.
eta: Outside of a dinner break or so I don't see anyway we will ever stop shooting. If you're out and you have your camera, shoot. Every single place we hit will have thousands of possibilities. It's New York...

Hey pawdrix thanks for posting.....NO i did want to break up the group......Someone just posted that wanted to shoot at nite so I figured if anyone wanted to shoot after the day of shooting and wanted to venture to brooklyn or anywhere I would show them around. Yes I had a couple of places in brooklyn to show people also there is much more in NYC to shoot at nite.
Well pawdrix it was just a thought and tried to help out, since I have to go through brooklyn to get home I figure I would show people around the downtown brooklyn area.

In downtown NY... it really is hard to tell day from night... well there are all those neon lights :O)

| I am planning on staying overnight, possibly just Friday, or maybe Thurs and Fri. Anybody need a roommate to share expenses? It is really weird to be asking because we are total strangers, but if there is another lady who needs a roommate I am open for possibilities. |
