Was out doing the balloon shoot this evening, and I ran across quite a nice little den of rattlesnakes. Not sure how many were there, but here is a very nice picture of two of them :)

Cool, it is always nice when you see them first!

I found one on a hiking trail once, my wife was with me and she would not let me play with it. I wanted to get it to rattle and coil but it was very content to just sit there. I gave it a gentle nudge to see if it would at least get off the trail and out of our way but it barely even responded. We ended up having to climb up and over some rocks to get around it and I was convinced that it was just a ploy to get us to go where his buddies were waiting so they could get us.

I prefer to get my snake shots at the zoo. Safer that way. ;D

You need to get closer to them like I did
