From the rules.
Dimension: 640x480 / 480x640 or 640x427 / 427x640 -- No borders or padding.
Why 640x427? I have a picture I'm working on that would look great at this size but I'm just curious why. |

For cameras that take images at 3:2

I didn't know there were any. So does this mean that if my camera does the normal 4:3 I have to use 640x480 or can I still use 640x427? |

You can choose either format regardless of your camera.

I would believe that you should be able to post either ratio since both are acceptable. 1.5:1 and 1.33:1 offer you a little flexibility in your cropping. I, under certain circumstances, would also prefer the 640x427 ratio...

It was my understanding you could stretch or shrink in either ditection to meet the requirements. I would like an official ruling on this please. |

Resize is allowed, and crop is allowed -- both are in the rules. Those are the two things you might need to get your submission to the proper size.
