One of the best episodes ever. That "Catch a Falling Star" playing at the end was kind of creepy.

more and more i'm wondering if there is no "good and evil" as they keep alluding to and its just simply "yin and yang", two guys who have been at odds for centuries. a great blog to read (funny and insightful) is at:

Wow I'm on the edge of my seat. I won't take phone calls when Lost is on and I record so that I can go back and watch.

I now have a new all-time favorite episode.

The Richard Alpert story is simply....well, WOW.

the general concensus among the lost tribe here at work is that was a top 3 all time ep. FINALLY after 5.4 seasons some answers.

ok top 5.

1 - the purge episode
2 - season 3 opener...when we see the hostiles watch the plane crashing
3 - season 1 ep 3...the locke-centric episode when we learned he was unable to walk before landing on the island. our first glimpse that the island was "special"

Kidding about the tattoos episode.

My number one had always been "Walkabout" (Locke season one). Now it's number two.

agreed.

it's gonna be sad month when Lost, and 24 finish forever.

I did enjoy last night's too, although not as much as Richard's story last week.

So, should we do a poll? Who's "good", who's "bad"? I am pretty sure I've narrowed down the players to the two sides, although between them they still have issues.

1. Jacob / Ben / Whitmore
2. "Man in Black" (aka Locke)

A while back I was convinced that Jacob had good intentions but now I think I've changed my mind. If I had to pick one to be bad it would be Jacob (although I have changed my mind back & forth a few times over the last year or so).

this has been a hot topic of debate among my "lost circle" of friends. seeing a glimpse into MIB a little last night (his willingness to let claire do what she will with kate after she's served her purpose) makes me believe maybe he IS a bad guy.

Remember also, Jacob keeps bringing people to the island, knowing it ends the same each time (with their demise)

But the prevalent theory now is that neither is good nor bad exclusively but just two opposites of the same coin battling.

Any way you slice it the show finally has a feel of "wrapping up" and heading for a solid conclusion.

Well, I kind of thought that too but then I thought that maybe MIB knows that it won't matter anyway because after he gets off the island, the reality won't exist anyway.

Every Desmond episode is "one of the best episodes" : - )

i thought this was an extremely key "linchpin" ep. It showed a huge reveal, IMO, that there are a few characters (des, charlie, jack) who have ability to feel/glimpse/alter the alt timeline from 2007 even though they landed safely in 2004. Gives me further feeling of "pulling together" the story toward a definitive ending. one of the timelines has to end, and we just don't know which. the 2007 timeline, in which charlotte, daniel, charlie, shannon, boone, paulo, nikki, etc all die?

One of my new top 3 eps. And no, the tattoo ep isn't one of them.

Remember Eloise (who should be dead in the sideways timeline because the nuclear bomb blew her up in 1977) wouldn't let Desmond read the invitation list? I'll bet it's because the invitation list has ALL the Losties on it and she didn't want to further trigger his memory. That's going to be an interesting event.

I agree... but I'm not sure which I want to end. Seems like the timeline that Jacob doens't mess with ends up best for pretty much everyone - at least what we can see. Also keep in mind that of three people in the no-crash timeline that can "see" both sides (Charlie, Desmond & Daniel), two of them died on the island. Makes me worry for Desmond.

Eloise didn't get blown up. She is alive and well in the non-alternate 2007 timeline. Remember, she's the one that told them to get on Ajira 316. She's also the one that sold Desmond the engagement ring before he went to the island.

I think, and I may be wrong ...

The non-alternative 2007 timeline happened BEFORE Daniel shot back to 1977, got shot by his mom (Eloise) and talked Jack into nuking the island. I say before, but I guess what I mean to say is that timeline was erased by a new event happening before it (the bomb).

(it's a confusing show, i may be way off)
