| Rest assured, I still suck too Alan! And I am probably a week or so behind on my critiquing, so better get to that. Uploading for Toys III soon, have to shoot for Fine Art, and oh yes, I now have a dozen spiles in my four biggest sugar maples. The freakishly warm weather is making the sap run like crazy this year, the Seguins (who taught me how to make syrup) normally don't start until the 15th of March, this year they started on the 3rd. So looks like I will be packing homemade sirop d'erable out west for the annual visit this year, instead of shipping it. |

FWIW, Alan, I'm more impressed by your photography than I am by mine.

That prolly means that you have an interesting & unique image 'cause Paul goes out of his way to recognize the images that are just that, and don't necessarily have mass appeal.
I'm proud to say I have garnered two of his comments in the not so distant past.

I've been working all week to try and get something and I think the only thing I get is that I don't have any artistic creativity. Sure, I can do some creative processing, and perhaps a creative angle on something I record, but I cannot make the image the subject no matter what I do.
I think I'm going to prolly sit this one out. It's moderately depressing to realize you aren't creative.....8>(

| I think I got my FA entry, I̢۪ll look in a minute, but I just had to share this story. As Zion is but a hop, skip away it is a regular destination. Today we hiked up to the upper Emerald pond enjoyed our stay for a bit, but with rain- snow coming it was that damp cold so we decided to leave. We had no more walked 50 feet when we heard a rumble and looked up the about 300 foot cliff face above to see a large ice patch must have given way, a spectacular sight. No more than 5 seconds later a larger rumble, what must have been the largest part of the body broke free, the largest piece about 2-3 feet in diameter landing in the same place my wife and I stood just a few moments before. Needless to say we headed back down the trail warning all headed in that direction. But wow what a site to see.. |

LOL, yes, but at the time was playing with slow shutter and manual focus.Go figure.
BTW, what I'm entering into FA is in my opinion the best in my 3 1/2 years here. |

Y'all are making me feel bad. I'm pretty happy with my shot, but it's not at all what I'd liked to have done for this challenge. Doesn't mean I won't keep trying, though, so there's that!
I'm mostly just looking forward to the viewing and voting phase. |

I'm in Fine Arts.
My Framed is sub-par and I browned in shoes, so why not. I don't think I can blame it on not having photoshop any more. I think it's just because I truly suck!!!
But I did have fun with my Fine Arts shot. Hopefully someone will like it. |

I'm in for a spanking. Heck, I don't even really know what's expected for "Fine Art Photography", so I just took a picture that I found disturbing to look at and figure that's gotta' do awesome! (What am I gonna lose here? Slip from 611th place to 700??)
