I'm guessing the most common theme will be people photographing their own shadows on the ground.
Do silhouettes qualify as shadows?

Thought of that and quickly put it out of my mind. |

I think that architectural shadows will be the most common theme, plus the obligatory ring casting a heart shaped shadow on an open book :) |

Well, that has a bicycle in it, so it gets an automatic "favorite subject boost". Besides, it's different. It's not of you standing there and holding your camera. |

My entry is sure to be misunderstood for I did not take a picture of a shadow cast by something. I took a picture of something modeled by the light/defined by its shadow. I think my problem with the challenges on this site is never coming up with a most literal interpretation. I predict a sub-4 score for my entry (as usual). [sob]

I will say that the loss of my photographic haunts is somewhat tempered by the nearly always ride-able weather here. It is spring, so there is rain on occasion, but generally the weather is very conducive to riding. And shadows, since that is indeed the subject at hand... :-)
Now I must get out and shoot shadows.. |

Yes. Well. It gets rather depressing sometimes. I suppose landscapes &/or architectural landscapes will dominate the front page. And maybe a heart-shaped shadow of some kind. [grump] |

You all have inspired me...
No architecture, no landscape, no shadow of me (or any other person). You can't even see the ground (or floor)!
Hopefully there are enough shadows not to DNMC. lol
I wasn't even going to submit for this challenge! |
