Not to be pedantic, but more like a week and a half.....8>)
I wonder what the total TS ribbon count would be? Terry's got five, Jeffrey's got three, Michelle's got four, skewsme (I don't even know what her name is!) has six, Julianne has a couple, as does Les, & Catherine....and there are other onesies & twosies I'm sure that we could add up.
Robert has six, but they don't really count since he only got one while on TS, and he most definitely does NOT suck......I think he just got the official shameless pandering pass 'cause of the poetry thing.......8>)
Deb's got a half dozen....HEY!!! She's been giving me a bag of......stuff lately about doing too well! What's up with that? I don't even have as many ribbons as she does!
All in all, I think it's pretty cool that from this crew of slightly offbeat folk, we have grown and flourished so nicely!
Most importantly, we can still put forth a sub-5 score in a heartbeat and be delighted with the image regardless!
Anyhow......I

Hear hear, Jeb!
And even though I am sucking along again at 5.2 (FS), 5.7 (Framing), and 4.8 (EggII), and may never win another ribbon, at least I know this: I ribboned on MY TERMS. I took a shot that I liked, pp'd it to my liking, titled it to my liking, flung it into the fray and dammit there's a blue ribbon staring me in the face each time I look at my profile. That, to me, is a price greater than rubies. |

Gardens of Dancers, with colorcarnival and SaraR. You can read through the results thread(s) to tally up the most TS ribbons.. Sounds like a project for the next TS member!

Happy birthday, dear Jelena!!! I suspect there might have been fire involved. At a minimum, candles on a cake, perhaps? |

Happy Day, Flutterby! (as my grandson puts it)
Question to all...
Will I be in trouble entering a picture that is a silhouette? (In other words, is a silhouette a shadow?)

Will it be DQ'd, not unless you made it in Processing. Will any think it's DNMC, who the heck knows in this crowd, if you like it damn the torpedoes. |

A silhouette is not a shadow... sorry. A shadow is a projection of the object -- can't be the object itself (imo, of course)
happy birthday Jelena!!

Well, I disagree: the side of a building not lit by the sun is said to be "in shadow" but the shadow is in reality the building itself, until such point as it is projected. So this shot shows "shadow" for me:
Here's an architectural silhouette, an interior, that in MY opinion, shows shadow:
Of course, I doubt many would agree with me :-)

So if you don't get out much to shoot, you make the best of the opportunities. Took Mom to K-Mart yesterday. Woo hoo!

Considering Melethia, Bear, and Alan's responses, I think I like Alan's best.
Meh. I may or may not try it, who knows...
Thank you all for your responses. |

I have been on Team Suck for nigh on 3 years, the same day a lovely little Russian girl wanted to chase butterflies, and then took DPC and the world by storm.
Lately I have seen a disturbing trend, the fear of the dreaded 4 letters DNMC. Once celebrated and in this little place, and called âOut of the boxâ, a award, the Oobie, carried with pride. A time where Jeb sucked ;p, Mary was the (real) boss, this place brimmed with child like laughter.
Itâs taken 3 years of stumbling around to figure out what Suck really means.
I SUCK.. |
