tomatoes were vanilla wafers dipped into red icing (I think it was just the powdered sugar & water icing)

That is amazingly good, Wendy! What's the lettuce? And you should send it to www.cakewrecks.com. Or is it cakewrecks.blogspot.com? No fear, they are not all wrecks on the site, some truly amazing cake architecture goes on too :-)

I actually saw the cake somewhere else -- I can copy almost anything, but I can't come up with originals. The lettuce is flattened out spearmint candies (the sugared, gummy stuff)

It's been a while, since I really don't do cakes much any more, but isn't cakewrecks the one where there is something wrong with it?

They've updated the forecast to 18-24 inches and 40mph winds. Fun stuff. Keep your fingers crossed that they are way off!

Most of the time, but on Sundays they do a post where stuff is *right* with the cakes. :)

Good Lord; I just looked at our forecast: up to 28" by the end of tomorrow and then MORE on Tuesday and again next Saturday. I could swear I lived in a southern state but you'd never know it this winter! YIKES!!

I have my snowblower gassed up, and sitting ready by the door. It's a SERIOUS machine, and I think I'm going to need it.

I don't think you're going to get that much Jeb. It's more coastal, so southern Jersey (me) and Delaware are going to get hit the hardest in this area.

They're calling for 12"-15" here, and where I live up on top of the mountain is always good for 10-20% more than they get on "the flats".

We got 2.5 inches here at work the other day when I had gotten four inches at home.

Well then good luck to you too! LOL! I thought I read something about the Poconos not getting much out of this one and I thought that was the area you were in for some reason. Brain fart I guess. ;)

Nope! For some reason, they get less snow than us upstate. The poconos are about two hours NE of us, but they seem to get less snow.

I am actually looking forward to it 'cause I think that a blizzard is a wonder of nature.

Pics to come......8>)

we had snow for awhile, but it didn't stick. It's supposed to be turning to rain for us -- 1-3" rain expected over night. We might get snow tomorrow.

Well, the bride and groom purchased over 100 prints (CHEAP, but still . . . ).
Guess they liked them well enough :D

Way to go, Lea!

Here's the first of my snow shots......

Took it about a half an hour ago. Just stuck the focus on infinity, guesstimated the shutter for the stupid El Cheapo flash, and went for it.
