When I dropped camera and lens and thus lost my baby 18-200 VR, I thought never mind about replacing it, I shall get a full format camera soon enough.
Having recently looked at my finances, I see that no full format camera is on the horizon.
I saw an 18-200 VR for sale on line. No address was given but a post code showed that it was here in Oslo and close to my part of town.
I sent an enquiry about condition etc.
Lots of people are interested and the lens is very clean with a UV filter and has had little use.
In that case you can have cash tonight.
So we arranged to meet at a cafe. I stopped at a hole in the wall, which I think is called an ATM in US speak, to grab some cash, but the machine would only give me a certain amount.
I hastily phoned and explained that I could only come up with a sum 500 crowns short of that agreed.
Ah well, I have left the house already, so that will have to do.
So I got a replacement lens 500 crowns under what I was expecting to pay.
This is the test shot I took in the cafe:

I'm supposed to be getting delivery of a small shipment I sent from Germany today. They said "between 8 am and 5 pm". It is now 4:30 pm. What are the odds it'll still get here?? Haven't been able to go anywhere all day - chances are the same will be in effect tomorrow if they don't show... bah! And it was a gorgeous day for a bike ride today.... BAH!

Thanks Deb! Everyone, will get around to commenting later, had a long day at work then shooting with Ryan,

Oh btw we decided to get a bbq chicken for supper. As we're about to enter the store a car drawing into a parking space honks its horn - and it's none other than

RayEthier! Of course I introduce Ray and Ryan to each other, and Ray holds us captive for a few minutes or so with his stories, as I know Max can also attest to ;-)

And even though both Ryan and I had our cameras with us, nobody thought to get a group shot of us. Damn!

$83 - that means a little over 650 on the lens, which is a big lump of money, but prices are about twice US in this part of the world.

I paid $673 new for mine in a local camera shop w/full Nikon five year warranty.

Glad you got the lens, though.......I know if I lost mine, I'd mug little old ladies 'til I got enough to get another....LOL!!!
