Ok so heres the scoop. Have a lady that wants some black and white maternity shots done. there have been some issues (that Im unaware of the details) with the pregnancy and shes due in mid Feb and fears she wont last much longer. Anyway I'm looking for advice on lighting and poses for a very pregnant woman. I have 4 lights (3 alien bees and a 430ex speed light) total to work with so that's not too much of an issue there...
Any advice or better yet examples would be greatly appreciated!
TIA

Well, these aren't B&W, but here are a couple I shot of my wife last year.

The best advice I can give, should it come to that, is to deliver the top shoulder first and then the lower with a gentle downward pressure while grasping the head firmly. Make sure to warm and dry the baby with towels after... |

the only reason Im panicking a bit is Calgary has the highest rate of premature births in Canada, My own son for example was born at 24weeks weighing in at 539grams :( but thankfully hes a tuff little sh!t lol.

Dave why did I not realize you are in Calgary?!? My MIL is in Calgary. We are supposed to come up there this summer (june-ish).
I dont have any maternity shot examples, but I love the ones that are black background with the lighting on the belly and maybe some fabric wrapped around her body. Does she want bare belly preg shots or clothed? |

Cool definitely look me up if you are up my way :)
I think she wants a lill of both, I think she will go as far as implied but not nude which Im completely fine with as I prefer implied anyway :) and I have quite a bit of material here that I was planning to utilize. The local fabric store here loves it when I visit them, good for them not so much for Dave lol but I did get a membership so I get sweet discounts :)

I'll second the Doc's advice, except deliver the HEAD first. |

LOL @ DocA!
This is one of my faves of maternity series... It's too late, of course, to do it all... but you might be able to get some ideas:
