Is there any special trick to get nice rounded water drops on glass.
Like in the famous "Liberty" picture, I have been trying to spray and place with dropper but the drops are just spreading flat...

I believe John treated the glass with Rainex. He has published a tutorial here:Liberty and Justice

Just a thought, but the same effect can be seen on newly polished cars - maybe try waxing the glass??

No waxing does not work - I tried that already...

Maybe there´s another way. - I read somewhere else that if you alter the density of the water, like adding gliceryn or something like it, it gives enough surface tension to the water to make those perfect drops.

I did put them one by one on the glass using a straw. The glass surface was a very new and clean heat resistant glass bowl. I was even able to move them around.

If you can find some glycerine in your local drug store, it has a much higher surface tension than water and it is crystal clear also. You can place drops on the glass with a dropper and they will hold their form.
