It would helpful if the e-mail notifications for the speed challenges worked. Luckily, I'm an addict and the first and last thing I do in my day is visit DPC. But, had I not, I would have never known there was a speed challenge this weekend.
I'm making this comment, assuming that notification did go out via e-mail, as normal.
Thanks
Edit: It's not my spam filters. :-)

I got the email and I was the second person to submit to the challenge.

They work fine for me too. You may want to confirm that your spam filter isn't blocking the mail.

That's not it. Thanks though.
The admins said during the last speed challenge that the script for the e-mail notifications did not work right, so newer members did not get notified. I would imagine that was the case again. I would just like the admins to look at getting this corrected.

I'm newly registered and had problems getting my confirmation mail (quickly sorted) but have had no notification of a challenge by mail
Hey, your email system was flagging our emails as spam because of a header problem. I fixed the header of the email and resent the confirmation. Let me know if you received it OK.
I get shed loads of spam every day and don't understand the header issue

Drew told me when I emailed him about this, that there is a problem with this noticifcation. The program is timing out before it finishes and they are trying to resolve it.
Apparently the newer members on the list (Last) are not getting the announcements.
He said they are trying to resolve it as soon as they can.

I didn't get any notice either. I just happened to be on at midnite...

This should be fixed for the next speed challenge. My apologies to those who did not receive their notifications :(

Presuming it is done in PHP, the script is timing out because most likely it is not outputting anything to the browser / console while it works
Try outputing a character like * for every mail sent and using flush() after the print statement...
