Wow. Just found DPC last week and I'm sold on this site. Looking forward to becoming a full member and joining the community.

Any idea how many members there are?

Curious as to how many pros and assistants are active users... what specialty?

Anyone intereested in helping a poor man build a site? The only web software I have is Go Live! 5 and I can't seem to figure it out for the life of me. I'm not asking for a freebie...

That's it for now! Oh, I guess I could start the ball rolling on one of my questions:

I do make my living as a photog and assistant- doing rather straightforward catalog stuff for now in a small studio in NC.

As of today, there are 970 paid members (we should see 1000 soon) and 17,000 total registered users. Take a gander at the user/member list here. to manually navegate there, go to "Community/Photographer Proflies".
I don't think we've ever tracked how many of are pros, I suspect the majority (like myself) are amateurs, ranging from new-to-phography to "been pushin' the shutter button forever".

Welcome, you will certainly have alot of fun here. Be careful, it is highly addictive.

I could not agree more. Firstly welcome kent. I've only been here a week or so (was looking for tips on my next camera). I've learnt so much from reading threads and looking at pictures, only downside is I've been neglecting learning how to use the A1!

Last night I even entered my first challenge - that should give me something to improve on.
