I do believe that I'm the happiest right now that I've ever been at DPC!

It's funny......there were comments made that indicated that I'd do well......I'm delighted, but the *really* cool part is that I had TWO excuses to wander around here in my home area shooting what I like best for a week and a half!
I prolly shot no less than six places I've been meaning to get to that I hadn't 'til now.
It just doesn't get any better than that! LOL!!!
I have to say that this little stretch of completely delerious happiness has only been enhanced by the fact that I've learned so much to be able to get some fantastic captures that I would not have been able to before finding my way here.
Between the knowledge, and even getting my latest camera body, DPC has really helped me to progress way beyond what I would ever have imagined my capabilities to be.
So thanks, people!
You all have helped me establish and realize my genre.
You have created an abandoned/decrepit/decayed/derelict/neglected/forlorn genre MONSTER!!!!! LOL!!!

Edited so the images fit without making the page have to be scrolled sideways! LOL!!!
Also......
I prolly need to throw this in too.....
I never shot B&W before I got here, I didn't know what street photography was, and I just didn't "see" scenes like this before I got here. When I shot this Thanksgiving eve, it really causeed me to stop and count my blessings, and realize how fortunate I've been in life.
Merry Christmas to y'all......remember to be thankful for your families and friends.

Congrats on your work. This is a type of photography that I really enjoy but it seems to get the short end of the stick when it comes to voting, unless it's in a specific topic, such as "Decay". |

Thanks for the images and inspiration yourself Jeb. Decay, whether Urban, Rural, Social or Personal is a favourite subject matter of mine that i'm drawn to in all aspects of art and literature. I love seeing the images in these challenges. |

You're on a well descerved roll Jeb. Keep the good images coming. The pleasure is on our side for getting to view them. And I'm sure, just as me, many DPC'ers appreciate your photography related dedication and contribution to the site. We need more of you! :) |

as you know Jeb, this is a genre that i like very very much... i attempt too to get something good in this kind of photography, i do not know if 've reached my goal (the challenge seems to tell me the opposite!), but with the macrophotography is what i want to do with my camera.
i'm very happy to have known another "decay addicted"... ;-)
good light from Italy! |
