Normally, yes. But have you looked at the photos? And have you seen people's average votes cast? It looks like the whole challenge will be full of high scores. |

Usually it is that someone thinks you may have violated editing rules. Things such as using an editing technique not permitted under basic are the most common reasons. |

Not worried, just preterbed as I did no editting at all and just had a DQ in the Tools challenge. Oh well, justice will prevail. |

| But the person who flagged it does not know that. (No, it wasn't me). There are frequent challenge entries where the viewer can't figure out how something could have been done without some illegal 'shopping. It may annoy you, but even worse would be for someone to win a photo contest because they crossed the line. I've had one entry called up for validation. I am sure that someone thought I'd used some illegal tone mapping plugins under basic rules. I didn't. |

| I am still pretty new to this, and I learned a valuable lesson on this challenge. I had 3 shots that I really liked, I posted the pic that had the most reaction from people that saw it even though I saw things in it I didn't like. Those same things I didn't like are the things that you don't like. I should have gone with my gut and taken the pic I submitted out of the race. Live and learn.... |

Usually entering the one you like best is the way to go, though sometimes feedback has alerted me to a different shot that was the better one. Broad appeal is hard to predict, even with good feedback.

if it makes you feel any better i had the same exact experience with this challenge. I had a pic submitted then let others' opinions sway me into changing it. seems going with the gut is the best way to go....
