Then why doesn't the chap in question honour us with some images of himself, so that at least we can start learning how things should be really done. The way I see it, he must be "the master himself". Maybe he is a reincarnation of Ansel and than I'd love to see some work of his.
B.T.W.: can someone explain me what "the vote scrubber" is? I've seen this mentioning already a few times, but can not find any additional info on this. Sorry if I sounds stupid.

That's *such* a BS attitude, I'm sorry... One doesn't have to be a master creator to know what one likes, and to express one's dislikes. I will admit that 151 1's seems a little extreme, but nevertheless it doesn't make me think the chap in question owes us a look at what HE creates, they are completely separate issues. And at least he owns up to his own voting pattern, according to Lutchenko.

Software that analyzes the voting at rollover and erases any votes that seem tainted. We have no details because it's obviously a big secret exactly how it works.

- I do agree with you that someone doesn't have to master the domain to know what he/she likes/dislikes.
But in a way this explanation is contradictory whit a statement I've seen several times : "if I/we get a comment, I/we check the profile/portfolio of the person in question. If it is from someone who has a mediocre performance himself/herself, than I/we don't take the comment into account".
IMHO there's a difference in "disliking" and value a photograph on the way it has been executed. I can dislike a subject, a way of executing,.. but still see the photograph has been executed with knowledge. E.g. pretend I don't like Low key images, at all. A well executed low key image will not be punished because I don't like it.
Ah, never mind...
- thank you for the "vote scrubber" explanation

Was as low as 5.35 this morning after about 20 votes, so I'm pleased it has recovered. I predicted 5.95 in my notes, so at the moment it is in the right ballpark. |

I agree entirely that one does not need to be able to produce good work to apprecite it.
However in this case the voter was voting 1s faster than I could refresh his profile so either he has an amazing ability to judge images at speed or he was
doing it for other reasons.
In some respects we may be playing into his hands; he is still logged in and most likely enjoying the posts he has caused, mainly by me lol

I thought of that also, but the time reflected on the recently uploaded photos uses the server time for DPC, doesn't it? The server time is what's used for the 12:00 rollover (and submission deadline). Just saying... |

I agree, and I'm not 100 percent sure, but that's the only logical explanation I could think of. The deadline is 12:00 am (Midnight) for me in the Eastern time zone so someone in London for instance would seemingly be able to post their submission at 5 am or 4 am (depending on Daylight Savings Time). I know the forum posts are always calculated based on local server time, but not sure how the server handles date and time submissions of photos.

I was at 5.8571 @ 21 votes when I went to bed only to wake up and find some troll had caused some damage. It dropped almost .3 points in that time.
Working it's way back up and hoping for a new PB.

Well, I made it above 6, temporarily. But since it has been dropping for the last 7 votes, I figured I better post it before it goes back below.

1 comment saying I would win, so now I just sit back and watch the score rise all week and wait for my ribbon, right? |
That's never worked for me, sadly ;-) My current Power Lines entry is a blue according to one commenter, but it isn't gonna break 6 in the voting....

OH MY!...in over 100 challenges, I have received my very first seriously puzzling comment...
I think it must be written in Klingon or something...
Or perhaps the universal DPC translator is broken...
Hmmmmm..... |

I just got one too that I'm not really sure how to take. I think I have an idea what they were implying, but it wasn't even a full word. LOL.
