Holland V Denmark should be quite a match although I reckon Holland & Cameroon will qualify from group E - although Japan could have an good chance of qualifying as well.

It looks like an interesting Group. I am just a Dutch Canadian, who becomes more dutch for about a month every other year (Euro/World Cups). I would like to see them go far so that I dont have to hear about it from my German coworker :)

You English disillusion yourselves about your team over, and over :D

Of course, this coming from a Canadian. We haven't had a World Cup contender since what... '86?

There doesn't seem to be any obvious Group of Death this go around.

If we are ever going to do it, it will be with the current squad - as long as everyone remains fit.

Seriously, since Capello has taken over it is a renewed and envigorated England side. Sometimes when watching them I have to ask myself.. Is that really an England team? - it's miles better than the team back in `96 (Shearer, Gazza, Sheringham etc.) and we dont have to rely on Beckham anymore although he does have talismanic value - he'll probably play then I think that will be it for him both at Club level and International level.

Holy s**!!*!*

If When we win our group and Australia come 2nd in their group then we would face them in the 2nd round!

Getting more and more excited here as I work out the permutations!

I got into soccer i high school, played intramurals in college, and for an adult amateur team for a while, but I must admit I've kind of lost interest in it since everyone seems to have gone to the "all defense play-for-a-tie and hope for a lucky goal" style of play. When I learned the game we played with four or sometimes five forwards (strikers), not one or two like I've seen these days.

I did get to see Pele play in person once when he was still playing for Santos (Brazil), and saw him score an amazing goal which showed why he was considered so great ... :-)
