Humility is a quality one possesses, humiliation is what happens when you get put in your place. So it must be humiliation :-) Buck up, it's good for the soul...

This unnamed, sucking thronger has 3 images in voting right now, including a Free Study, and all below 5.5 :-( I can understand it with "religion", I can accept it with "polka dots", but the FREE STUDY? I agonized over which masterpiece to enter, I just *knew* any one of them was guaranteed to win the hearts and minds of the voters, and THIS happens? (Sobs disconsolately...)

Ah, yes, the hearts and minds... there, there, Robert. You were absolutely right, of course, but it's the heartless and mindless voters we need to reach.

Erm - don't we?

After 6 challenges not being able to score at least a 5 (but I still like the images) I'm now looking at 2 images on the left sidebar with a 6+ .I like the view!

What? Don't disappoint me. The stuff you do with that camera is usually pretty darn good.

Wanted to share a few photos of my beautiful daughter and the newest member of our family. A new model just might be what I need to get me out of my photography funk.

Hey, folks, help me make Melethia blush. :)

12/02/2009 07:34:22 PM · #1315
Made her blush already, Jeffrey! Lovely thread you started for our Deb :-)

Score...FS about 5.3...Polkadots just under 5, ditto Macro. Now I can understand the PD's being under 5, but the macro?! Shaking my head at that one.

Alarmed to see I am dangerously close to losing my status as a member of the Average Under Five club. Now at 4.900, better start screwing up!

Finally..yesterday evening at approximately this time, was making supper while patiently waiting for a call from a certain redhead to firm up plans for shooting today. Didn't know if Ryan wanted to shoot in town or out my way. Heard a scratching/knocking sound at door, thought it was a buddy who was meant to come and give me a quote on some minor house work. Called out 'Come in', as I was cutting stuff up in the kitchen.

No response, and knocking resumed, I called out 'Come in', again. Still no answer. Figured it was my buddy playing tricks on me, so opened front door, and...

There was Ryan, hunkered down out of sight of the tiny window in my door, scratching Druli's ears and smiling up at me! He chose to sneak out about 16 hours early and surprise me, which he did, very pleasantly. So we shot a bit last night then more this morning through to mid-afternoon.

I love it when stuff like that happens! :-)

Hello team suckers I thought you might like a good laugh and since I laugh at myself all the time I thought I would share.

Enjoy, this post was from another thread.

Hello all, glad to see your all hanging in there.

Well I climbed on the scale this morning and I'm now 220lbs!!!! That makes 35lbs lost and 20lbs to go before the end of December. I think I can do it now that I've gone back to Judo and Isaac is finished filming Dino Dan, I have some time to concentrate on me for a little bit. This is the upside, the down side is I have nothing that fits me anymore, not to mention the plumbers crack and I'm an electrician and a carpenter. I now spend half the day pulling up my pants even with the belt on and 4 new holes drilled in it they still fall down when I put tools in my pockets.

The other day I was packing up at work and I walked into the house with my arms loaded up with tools and my pockets were full as well when I turned the corner and my pants started falling down, I couldn't drop the tools I was carrying because of the hardwood flooring (and the cost of the tools) so I had to keep going on into the room that I use to put my stuff. (the corner of their newly built living room.) Imagine my surprise when I entered the room laboured with the weight of the tools both in my hands and in my pockets and the home owner was there with three of her friends showing off my handy work. I was greeted with "Oh and here he is now. Max these are my fri......." "Oh my, what happened to your pants?"

Thank you Mom for telling me to 'ALWAYS' wear clean underwear. After I put down the tools, because by this time they had already seen me standing there with my arms loaded up and my pants falling down I figured this is no time to be shy or embarrassed just try to salvage what little dignity you have left and move on. I walked towards the four ladies with an outstretched hand, "Pleased to meet you ladies, my name's Max and I've been doing a little renovation to Crystal and James's house."

Now let me tell you I was not the only red face in the room. All four of them stood there in stunned wonder and couldn't speak and one by one they reached out to shake my hand. "I'm Judy." "I'm Shelly." and "I'm Christine but you can call me Chris for sh..." After shaking their hands I did the only thing I could think of, I said "Does anybody mind if I pull up my pants?" I never thought a line like that would ever come out of my mouth let alone be used as an icebreaker.

Laughter abound and Kleenex all around we finished the day with a tour of the place discussing the way things were and what I did to improve on the house and the amount of work that has been done. The ladies were all business and so was I. It's nice to know that I can still think on my feet and I'm a good enough salesman to walk into a room full of women with my pant down and still get work.

So all in all this whole exercise has been great and I have to give a big shout out the wonderful people at Calvin Klein for a fine fitting pair of boxer briefs with the pouch for the boys in front. Comfort no matter what the occasion. Now that's a picture.

All the best to everyone. Keep up the great work.

MAX!
