Hey, what about an all at the same time challenge? Everyone takes a shot at the same time (well within a 10 minute window - EXIF data will verify) which tells us what everyone is doing at that moment. Kind of like those life in a day books but life in 10 minutes! And yes - it means some folk will be shooting at night time and some folk will get stuck with a 5am slot - but it's for fun really!

Do we really want to see pictures of the dust collecting on someone's computer desk? Or the cat asleep on the windowsill? Or a person's pillow?

Challenges like that could be fun, but they rarely produce 'viewable and enjoyable' images, as least not enough to vote through 300-odd of them.

One of Man Ray's more famous shots is entitled (and indeed depicts) 'Dust Breeding' ...

... tried to find a link, but couldn't find the image on-line: if anyone else knows a source, please add it :-)

google is great for finding things

//images.google.com/images?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=utf-8&safe=off&q=man+ray+dust+breeding&sa=N&tab=wi

Here's 6 versions of that shot from one search on 'man ray dust breeding'

Huh? I tried googling (obviously), and none of the five links it gave me worked ...

Though it's very interesting to see the different prints presumably from the same negative.
