True. *off to buy sauerkraut, Heineken and bratwurst* Nobody will ever guess which country's mine! ;-)

Well as Heineken is Dutch, you maybe right there!

Ooops that was a little bit of a faux pas esp today...no disrespect intended, anyone...well, I'm sure I can find a German beer somewhere...

As a matter if fact you can find "Erdinger" and a few other German beers at the LCBO. Word of warning though, they aren't as good as the product you get in Germany.

Ray

As a matter of fact Erdinger is not german beer either, it's bavarian. ;-)
And I'll be really pissed off if a see a single Lederhose or Dirndl in the challenge to represent Germany...

Goodness gracious... and here I thought that Bavaria was one of the states within Germany. Back to class for me I guess. :O)

Come to think of it... one of Canada's national symbols is the beaver... I guess I could strike out in the morning in search of a dam eh!!! :O)

I agree that this is a great challenge. We'll probably be like seeing the world unfold thru the beautiful and distinct photos that represent our own countries.

It IS a german state, but I wouldn't mind if they seperated and formed their own little country...There they can drink Weißbier, eat Weißwurst and dance around in their ridiculous clothes all they want!
Yea sorry, I guess I have a slight aversion for bavarian (speaking) people, and it's not only because IreneM is from there (I think?)...;-)

I'm from Edinburgh in Scotland and live in Nordrhein-Westfalen, which is quite a distance from Bavaria... unfortunately ;-)

Count me in, too! As a Muenchner Kindl, I don't care for that typical "Preussen" attitude one little bit.

*starts warming up her arm, ready to swing that lethal Bierstein, savage Bavarian that she is......*

Hey, don't call me a Preusse, that's *almost* more offensive than calling me a Bayer...;-)

But I should stop hatin', otherwise there's gonna be yet another inner german war, and the Sachsen have proven through history that they usually ended up getting their arses kicked pretty good.*lol*

I only have a few hours left to find someone in Lederhosen. Just for Christoph. :-)

Well, I was gonna take a shot of a kid peeing on a building while her mom stood watch... but I don't have a long enough lens to capture it from afar...

Only if you want a high score. ;-)

I walked over to Rockefeller Center to get a photo of the multinational flag display. Whether you agree or not (i.e., politics aside), I thought it might represent the spirit of the U.S., insofar as the melting pot idea goes. All the flags had been changed to U.S. flags!

Your "snapshots" are better than 98% of the rest of the world's snapshots so I'd say you'll do just fine. :-)
