I can't believe that after fighting in Iraq, you have any desire to play a war simulation!

Yup COD rocks. However I fear if I buy COD 2 I'm never going to pick up my camera..
I played competative FPS up until a few years ago, both online and at LAN's.
Kept the little 14 year old snot noses in line with my 1337 skeelz rofl. |

1337- haha
Me and my mom play cod online all the time. She is not very good at it but she has the will. COD MW2 is a lil more fast paced than what I wanted to see and then maps online are really cluttered.
My cousin and I were H2 beasts online and at all the lan tourney's. |

Hey Kris! Yes what a hoot all those silly acronymns and "gay"mer banter. (Apologies to the GBLT among us, but it's an often used Non-PC term to portray a lame computer gamer).
Us old Space Invader/Asteroids/Pac-Man generation can still own the best of them! |

Not excited but I have lost my husband to this as he bought it yesterday! (I did act as his spotter for a while which was amusing "over there by the tanker, cant you see him?!")
I have tried playing them in the past and even shot a few people rather nicely, but I die too much due to running around like a loon with a gun. Great looking game though :D |

Picked this up Tuesday night, and thank god yesterday was a bank holiday, because I would have been worthless at work. How about that NO RUSSIAN mission....holly hell. I can already hear the media talking about how many concerned parents wrote their congressmen and shit. |

These games are as much a war simulation as After-Burner is flight simulation. |

I though y'all might appreciate this from MLIA:
"Today, I skipped school to go out and by the new Call of Duty and play it the entire day. Apparently, my physics teacher did the same. While in the checkout lines of Target, we shared a look of silent understanding. I have a feeling neither of us will be found out." |

Haha. Thats too good. I am really digging it so far, but haven't really dug into the online play yet, which is different for me since thats usually all I do. The story mode is pretty intense, so I've been just digigng that. And in fact, its what I'm going to do tonite as well. I love life. |

I have to wait about a week to get my copy, Because my xbox is a NTSC and all they sell over here is PAL I have to get it from the states. I talked to one of my friends back in Wisconsin on xbox live he is going to grab a copy for me today after work and send it over. I just paypaled him the funds now. Looking forward to playing it sounds like a bitchin game. in the mean time I will spend some time in COD4 for practice. |

My boyfriend (a video game tester, btw) got the game the night it came out. He loves it of course, but he said he felt really weird about playing that level. He showed me it later and I have to say straight up, that even for a video game, "That was F*cked up!" Why would you even THINK about putting that in a game? I'm sorry, I think the game is really cool, but that scene was pretty unnecessary considering that the civilians didn't have weapons of any kind. I can see why Australia wants to ban it. |

Its the catalyst for the whole game though, so it had to be there. |

Couldn't if I wanted to. I play the WWII version called World at War. Activision decided not to allow dedicated servers for the PC version of MW2. I don't use consoles and don't want my PC turned into a console by buying MW2.
BTW there will probably be a lot of the xbox360 consoles turning up on eBay in the next few weeks/months. On the day of the release of MW2 MicroSloth banned almost 900,000 xbox consoles because of mods, hacking, piracy, etc. These bans are at a hardware level on the individual console. If you buy one it won't work and the process for trying to rescind the ban is draconian. So Caveat Emptor. |
