This one sounds like fun but who picked that number and why? And that combination? 35, 6, 6 snap.... hmmmm guess I'll be out walking tomorrow to find out what is in each of the combinations of directions.

Requires some advance planning to be sure. I think people who live with a nice view from their back porch will have an advantage. I may try it, but won't expect much.

No way of really knowing if someone complied with the description. Honor system on this one.

Or, you could move to a new home, even if briefly...

Agreed but its likely people will vote down the third or fourth shot of a beach or mountain range. I bet a nice suburban street shot will do well.
Its not only meeting the challenge, but being seen to meet the challenge

Funny, I didn't pace it out but my three techniques image would be about that distance from my home. I'm not sure it would be seen to be so though - I'll need to be careful.

maybe walk out the door of the apartment building, coz technically that's your home .. you just live in an apartment inside it .

"Walk out the door of your home, choose any direction you like, and walk in as straight a line as possible for 35 steps. Stop. Choose another direction and walk 6 steps in as straight a line as possible. Stop. Choose yet another direction and again walk 6 steps in as straight a line as possible. Stop. Without moving another step, create the most interesting photograph you can from that spot."

Mother may I?

Yes, you may.

This is going to be interesting.
I live in the middle of a housing estate so hopefully I will be able to go 36 steps in 1 direction. Im looking forward to going and trying this. Also ties nicely into the photography course I am on at the mo as we were discussing a style of photography that decides subject matter exactly like this. :D

So you're the culprit then... lol Yes that's a long memory but if you read the posts there from back then and the ones here from now.... I see a familiar theme!

I actually live on dry land but will end up either in a yard or cornfield, so this may still be quiet the challenge.
