How many times haveyou been driving somewhere and saw a house sized donut or an ant as big as a car? How about a challenge taking pictures of things that are much larger than the items they represent really are? |

I would have to add to this one that you could use perspective to make something look bigger that it really is...

Close to where I grew up: world's biggest lobster in Shediac New Brunswick. It's about 30 feet long. We have the longest convered bridge in th world in Hartland, New Brusnwick, about an hour's drive.
I'll have to find a picture of big ass blueberry I shot in Nova Scotia during my vacation last year in Nova Scotia.

Isn't it only Americans & Auzzies that build house sized items?

I have, written down somewhere in a note book, a plan to take pictures of all the 'biggest x' buildings in Australia - the list is ready to go, the itinery is planned - I figure there could be a book at the end of that road too

Yup, some of those sites and similar were the motivation for the project. I was planning on trying to take more artistic shots though - no doubt lots of sunset/ sunrises and funky skies...

i once saw a film in class about "the biggest ball of twine in minnesota" (the quotes happened to be the chorus to the jingle of the film) i remember thinking: school is really boring.. but now, i see where they were coming from when they showed us that film.. BIGGER IS BETTER... if only i hadn't squelched my time in class catching up on lost sleep. |

I have used perspective to make something look bigger. In a past challenge I made a toy car appear to be life size .
