i like over-general subjects... i really hate looking through a bunch of the same photographs (the garage art challenge for example.. uugh) people are forced to be creative this way.

just a thought..

i'm sorry.. i just can't stand to look through so many uninteresting photographs.. to all of you who partook in the challenge: yours was probably the unique one that i'm not talking about :-p

If you check the challenge history, you'll see that the most of the "standard" colors have already been done, including Red, Yellow, Green, and Blue.

I also disagree that specific subjects don't lead to creativity. Take the Pencil challenge for example.

And remember that what is "uninteresting" to you may be very interesting to somebody else.

Orange might have enough of a duality to it to be interesting as a colour and form

I agree Gordon.

Orange -- Photograph your interpretation of this word.

Is that general enough? ;-)

I have to go along with at least part of what Miah says, although I appreciate many of the garage art photos. I'm happier with general topics; I love "letting go," for example, since it leaves so much room for the photographer's interpretation.

The garage art challenge was too specific for me--because I don't have a garage or even a car! (OK, I could probably have come up with something...)

Well, there always the metal colors: Gold, Silver, Bronze, Aluminum, etc.

I'm sure I have some of them in my garage...
