Okay, so what's it going to cost?
The cost to join No Bs World and have instant access
to all the information listed on this page is a mere $19.97 US* a month
and a one time sign up fee of $47.00.
*LOCK IN NOW.When you sign up for this rate you will be guaranteed no increases when the price does go up.
There is no way to justify not spending a measly .67 cents A DAY
to belong to one of the best forums online.
Your return on investment will be a thousand times OR MORE the cost to join.
***************
A tad pricy I'd say :-) I s'pose if they are good, and if you're in the business of portraits/weddings, it would be a valid business expense, but...

I photograph for pure pleasure only, no business interest, but as a learning resource looks quite good! dunno, suppose what I'm looking for really is for someone to tell me, its the best thing since sliced bread and it'll make me win a blue ribbon in every challenge I enter!!! Lol. |

I don't see anything I can't find elsewhere on the web for free. For those who haven't - try retouchpro.com

The instant success is for those running the site and collecting the $19.97/mth. (IMO)
ETA: ... but I'm a skeptic.

It's not instant success I'm after, I just thought it might be a good learning resource! I'm kind of stuck in a rut at mo and need some guidance on how to take my PS skills to the next level - I've kind of reached a plateau!!! (yeah, I know, concentrate on camera technique and the rest will fall in place - that'll come over time though). Mind you, I'm a perfectionist, so any work I've done in the past I take a disliking to after a couple of days anyway! there's no pleasing some folk! |

I have to agree with Colette and Cindi. Those prices are ridiculous for info you can get for free anywhere.

I was just checking out one of the No BS Photo Success tutorials and wow, am I turned off by them. There is simply no excuse for such bad spelling. They could have at least run their articles/tutorials through a spell-checker.
They also seem to contradict themselves a lot. For example, their tutorial will say something like, "Use Tool A, then Tool B, then Tool C. However, we never use Tool B..."

All I had to do was watch the intro video and realize that if that was an example of the quality of their work it is not something I'd want to emulate. |

That line, right there, has me a sceptic.........
A joining fee, which makes me think they are trying to get money out of you quickly (and unrecoverably).......any joining fee that you don't get something for (ie equipment/Uniform at sports clubs etc) makes me think twice............
A good site would rely on your experience to keep you paying money, or even have a try before you buy, if they stand by their prodict strongly.......Hang on, that sounds like DPC... :) |

this reminds me of something I saw in Calvin & Hobbes where Hobbes has a "great idea" to share that would make Calvin really rich (or something), but it's such a great idea he can't possibly let it go for free. Calvin finds a quarter, gives it to Hobbes who then tells him the great idea is:
"A fool and his money are soon parted"
Thank you, Bill Watterson. |
