I think my photo was misunderstood. I did receive a few comments to the effect that my photo did not meet the challenge. I'm not bitter about it or anything, just wanting to put out my "proof" that I did use a mobile light source for anyone who doubted that.

and here was my entry

I'm not complaining or anything. I really like the photo.

I really liked this photo too. And it was one which clearly met the challenge. Well, that's the breaks at DPC.

You scored 5.75, which is decent, and you outscored mine...

Interestingly, I thought for certain I'd get some comments questioning whether I met the challenge, however, surprisingly I did not.

BTW, though I literally did not have time to enter photog's commetnts, I used a flashlight with Red, Yellow, Blue and green filters. Got the final shot at 11:46PM Sunday, still had to edit it and submit. For that reason, it is certainly not as good as it should be. Procrastination strikes again.

I thought this shot was going to ribbon. Guess I dont know much about the voters.

Who cares... I loved the shot!

I gave you one of your 4 "10's". I think people may have voted slightly lower because they remembered and compared your shot to "Desert Moonlight" that dsidwell did for the "After Dark" challenge. I did myself but I gave you the same score that I gave him.

Thanks for replying to those of you that did. I thought when I entered this one that it would've done better. This is really only the 2nd time I've been pretty disappointed with how a photo has done. Most of the time I can pretty easily spot ths shortcomings that all of you here on DPC see and justify why I get a particular score. Thanks for taking the time to write to all of you who did.

It was one of my favorites.

I would hang it on my wall.

I thought it quite brilliant in all aspects that matter to me in a photograph, namely: composition, lighting and texture.

Maybe I'll have to consider making it a print. I think I want to have one on my wall too.

Thanks for the kind words - Bob

I just left a comment under your photo, and asked how you achieved this - then saw this post...so, no need to respond :P

I think you should have placed much higher on this one.
