I am only thinking about it, haven't pulled the plug just yet. But 5 more days of being this frustrated is not good for my health or my sanity. lol

Usually we are left to assume a low vote means "your entry sucks". I was grateful to get an explanation accompanying a low vote. Whether or not it was what I wanted to hear, it was refreshing to know why.

K10 thanks for your vote I do appreciate your effort. Not complaining, Just wish you could have taken other aspects of the shot into thought besides the HDR editing. As you say the world keeps moving, It is time to move on to the next challenge, hopefully it will be a minimal editing challenge. So our photos can be judged on the actual photography and not the PP. |
Just as you, I've been shooting Raw, recently did the CS4 upgrade, followed the tutorial, etc. Got a couple comments about "it just doesn't look HDR", but honestly it is....per the instructions anyway. So, if you run across any info concerning HDR/method/CS4 combo, I'd much appreciate if you'd pass along via PM.
BTW....hang in there. My score is low, K10DGuy low-balled me (and said why), yet I'm still having fun. |

But what do you feel like when you receive a low vote and a harsh comment?  TCGuru gave me some nice tips about commenting when i got to this website. I always try to give a feedback to the person with the good and bad points of the shot. It's really rare to see shots with only bad things...when that happen, you can just give some advice to the person.
I didn't like the last comment i received, for the first time in all challenges. But i marked as helpfull anyway, because the comment tells me about the bad points of my shot.
I like my score anyway...

| I’m at 5.888. K10Dguy gave me a 3. His vote is a statistical outlier. I would be at 5.991 without his vote. No big dealâ€Â¦ easy to ignore. |

| Hubris gets to all of us occasionally when a challenge comes up that we feel is particularly well suited to us. that is one of the things I love about this place, it keeps me humble. (not quiet, but humble...lol ) |
