I saw the bird on the right, but it took me a couple of minutes to find the babies because they blend into the stone so nicely. I saw a bob white quail here a few days ago. They used to be everywhere around here, even in my yard, but they are pretty rare here in S W Florida now.

JulietNN one of the most cherished memories of my life is the time when, walking thru the woods, a bird fluttered past me dragging one wing. I immediately stopped, put my back against a convenient tree, & waited. Eventually the mother bird came back & called all the chicks out of hiding. One of them ran right over my foot. So cute.

It took me a while, but if you look very closely to the lower left corner of the image, you may see it, too.

ohhhhhhhhh that is soooooooo cute!!!!

what was cute about this was there was a baby bunny with this lot as well, who kept sniffing them, that was when i slithered back into the house to get the camera, but he ran off when i slithered back out. And my neighbors really thought i was mad when i was slithereing it was a like a Michael Jackson moonwalk with a little country and fugitive involved. !
